Thoughts on the Project
Coming up with the visual style of the book was really challenging. The concept of air can be perceived and therefore depicted in a plenty of ways. Eventually I decided to go with something clean and crisp, which is my idea of air. To visually implement this perception, I decided to use flat-color shapes combined with hand-drawn textures as a contrasting element to emphasize the crispiness.
